Q: What experience do I need to be a Recruitment Consultant?
A: Two years experience in a business-to-business sales role.

Q: I want to be a Recruitment Consultant, but have no experience in business-to- business sales. Would you still consider my CV?
A: You could apply for a resourcer role; this is an excellent way to gain a good grounding in the recruitment industry by supporting the consultants. You would be liasing with candidates and assisting consultants in matching CVs with their clients’ needs. It can be your stepping-stone into becoming a recruitment consultant.

Q: What Qualifications do I need to be a Recruitment Consultant?
A: Nothing specific, as long as you have good written and spoken English, combined with basic keyboard skills and a good telephone manner. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed people who thrive from delivering results in a target driven environment.

Q: I do not know anything about IT. Can I still apply?
A: Certainly, you can be trained on IT fundamentals and all the information you would need to be able to communicate with clients and candidates in a knowledgeable manner.

Q: What would I actually be doing?
A: In a nutshell, canvassing clients and candidates with a view to placing IT professionals in a contract or permanent role. Developing relationships with clients (both over the telephone and in client meetings) in order to understand their recruitment needs. Building a rapport with your applicants in order to find them a suitable role.
